Some of the nation's top law schools have recently received $1 million private grants to study the rights of animals. Jerry Bowen reports it's aimed at protecting the 10 billion animals raised for food and research.

Scott Peterson didn't have any visitors in his first day and night on death row, according to a spokesman for San Quentin Prison. But he did get almost three dozen phone calls from women, two of whom wanted to propose marriage.
