The 9/11 Script
Corporate Media Broadcasts Consistent Message
Perhaps the most important single factor in ensuring the unquestioning acceptance of the official account of the 9/11/01 attack was the attack's shock. However, if that account had not been presented nearly fully formed by the broadcast and print media starting on the day of the attack, it might not have achieved such wholesale acceptance. The media was virtually free of any mention of the numerous anomalies in the official account.
A scan of the front pages of the September 12, 2001 editions of major US newspapers reveals a striking uniformity of message. The following collage combines banner headlines from 63 such editions. Five referred to Pearl Harbor. Only one provides the objective characterization of the event as 'MASS MURDER'. Even more telling than the headlines were the images these 63 newspapers chose to feature of their front pages. Only one ran an image of the two most deadly, destructive, and traumatic events of the day: the collapses of the Twin Towers.
