Ground Zero Workers
Photos of Damage to Nearby building and Southern Ground Zero
These photographs were apparently taken within weeks of September 11th. The photograph on the left shows a large gash in the southeast corner of World Financial Center 3, caused by perimeter wall column sections from the North Tower. This damage is approximately 450 feet from the nearest part of the North Tower.
The photograph on the right is looking eastward, with 1 Liberty Plaza towering in the background. A portion of the northeast perimeter wall of the South Tower is directly in front of it. In front and to the right of that is a mound of remains of WTC 3. The three pieces of perimeter wall in the foreground apparently stuck in the ground like arrows.
